Then I connected the sensor to a programmable microcontroller chip and built a circuit. I programmed the chip to count the number of times the sensor detected the magnet, within a minute, and send the data to my computer. The data is sent through a serial port and aquired by an Excel Visual Basic (VBA) program. The VBA program then sends the data to a server and a php program stores it into a MySQL database online. This is all done instantaneously, repeating every minute. Then when you click on a date for the chart, the database is queried and a chart is drawn by XY coordinates. And that's how you get the LIVE data!!! ...
